Opportunities Incorporated of Jefferson County (Opportunities, Inc.) is a private not-for-profit community based organization established in 1966. The mission of Opportunities, Inc. is to provide services for individuals with disabilities and other life barriers for the purpose of maximizing their success and enhancing their abilities to be independent, contributing members of the community. Along with their expansive community vocational programs, Opportunities, Inc. has a strong commercial division that offers quality business to business services for over 500 area companies and organizations. The Opportunities, Inc Packaging and Assembly division has been offering contract manufacturing for nearly 50 years. In addition to their extensive knowledge and expertise in production capabilities; they provide job training and project work for the over 300 consumers who participate in agency services annually. Businesses that choose Opportunities, Inc. Packaging and Assembly Services not only receive exceptional service; they contribute to the empowerment of individuals with disabilities in cooperation with the agency mission. Over 1500 individuals receive valuable training and support services through Opportunities, Inc. annually to maximize their independence in the community.
